The addition of different studies focused on 3 factors :

Outox Studies

Having changed the drink’s composition and taste, Outox’s managers asked an independent laboratory, DERMSCAN, to carry out an efficacy study of the product before putting it on the market. The results were communicated in 2010 and confirm the results of previous studies on Outox (Szegzed study) and other concentrated fructose and citric acid aqueous solutions (SACF) (Ernouf study, Leipzig study).

Author : This study was conducted recently in France under medical supervision by the laboratory DERMSCAN

Object : Titled "Evaluation of the effect of a beverage Outox on the response of voluntary alcohol intake", this study examined a population of 55 persons, men and women, divided into 2 groups.

B - Conclusion

The product "OUTOX" taken alone or combined with alcohol (vodka) was well tolerated

On the Group 1: The product "OUTOX" associated with alcohol (vodka) induced a smaller increase in the rate of alcohol in exhaled air compared to that observed at the same time after ingesting the same amount of alcohol associated with a soda. This difference was significant.

On the Group 2: the product "OUTOX" achieves a significant reduction * of alcohol in the breath after taking 45 minutes compared to the observed decrease in the same time after taking the same amount of alcohol alone. This was observed for all volunteers and especially for those aged 18 to 29 years and 30 to 50 years. 30 minutes after taking the product "OUTOX" can observe a tendency to decrease in the percentage of alcohol in breath.

For all the volunteers in Group 2, clinical scores showed less impairment in attention, alertness, memory capacity (on memory) and reactivity after absorption of the product OUTOX.

The product "OUTOX" taken only after the absorption of alcohol has been appreciated by all the volunteers for their appearance (75%), smell (65%), colour (67%), taste (70%), for the convenience of its packaging (100%) and ease of use (100%). 81% of volunteers were satisfied with the results of this product, 79% found it effective and 78% have fully digested.

Study SZEGED (2004)

A- Author and subject of study

Author : Study headed by Professor VARGA TIBOR. MD. Ph.D, Assistant Doctor POCZKODI SANDOR MD Accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Board and accredited by the Medical Commission of the state of CALIFORNIA (USA).

Object : September 2003, Office forensic institutes and the Institute of Forensic Science University of Szeged in Hungary were commissioned to analyze scientifically : "the effect of reducing alcohol by the drink Outox".

B- Conclusion

During the period of absorption, the drink Outox taken within 60 minutes after the start of alcohol consumption accelerates the elimination of 70% alcohol schedule in the first hour. Which represents a decrease from 0.15 to 0.20 g / l of alcohol.

This effect is greater in the case of breath as blood or urine. Elimination is dominant in a period of 30 to 60 minutes and lasts between 1 and 1h30.

Author : Medico-legal institute headed by Professor Dr R Scheithauer

Object : Studying the effect of the drink Outox containing fructose, on the blood alcohol content, breath and urine after the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

B - Conclusion

Outox significantly influenced both men and women with the average blood alcohol content and also the breath alcohol concentration. For the urine concentration, no specific assessment of gender was possible but generally, a significant effect has been observed.

The magnitude of the effect is for the average blood alcohol content about 0.08g/l (95% KI rounded off 0,04-0.12g/l).


General Studies


A – Author and subject of study :

Author : ERNOUF et LEJEUNE, Faculty of Pharmacy of Tours, Volume 60 N 3 299-306 Mai-Juin 2002

Object : Highlighting the action of oral administration of a concentrated aqueous solution of fructose and citric acid on the kinetics of alcohol in breath (AAE), in young men, healthy volunteers.

B – Conclusion

For the level of alcohol consumption experienced, citric acid solution and fructose in this study allows to limit and delay the rise of the concentration of alcohol in breath. Although the statistical study of area under the curve was not performed, it appears that the area under the curve with the SACF are significantly lower than those without the SACF*.

Object: Study on the effects of a fructose drink was on the elimination of alcohol and alcohol in the blood.

B- Conclusion

The results of this study demonstrate that the action of oral intake concomitant with a concentrated aqueous solution of fructose and ascorbic acid (0,135g), before and 1 to 2 hours after drinking a times 0.8 g ethanol / kg body weight), significantly reduces the rate of ethanol, in the blood by about 25%, when compared to the same amount of alcohol ingested with making a standard lemonade.

The tolerance of this drink is good in majority, even if we may note some mild gastrointestinal ailments.
